Catering Terms and Conditions

Bookings  

Upon receiving our quote you will have a tentative booking held with us for a period of 14 days. 

Confirmation

Your booking will be confirmed once we have received your deposit.

Deposits

A 50% deposit is required on all bookings.

All events booked with a total catering bill under $1,000 will need to be paid in full at the time of booking, with the exception of cakes.

Final Payment

All payments are due 2 weeks prior to your event 

Cancellations

All cancellations are to be in writing.

In the event of a cancellation 3 months or more prior to your event, your deposit which is 50% of your total invoice balance will be refunded less 20% for handling fees.

In the event of a cancellation less than 3 months prior to your event, your deposit which is 50% of your total invoice balance will be forfeited.

In the event of a cancellation 4 weeks or less prior to your event, your deposit which is 50% of your total invoice balance will be forfeited plus 20% of the total invoice.

In the event of a cancellation within 1 week prior to your event, 100% of the total invoice will be forfeited. 

Travel Fee

We do have the ability to travel to different locations. If your location is 100 kilometres and over the following fees will apply. Return Distance from our location in Myponga:

100-200 kilometres  $300 + gst

200-300 kilometres  $400 + gst

300-400 kilometres  $500 + gst

400-500 kilometres $600 + gst

Resolution of Disputes

To protect our business from any negative publicity, Chief Catering prevents the client from posting any negative feedback on any online social platform without first contacting us so we have the opportunity to resolve any issues amicably.

Damages

You will be held liable for the cost of any broken, damaged or stolen equipment caused by you or any guests at your event. 

Waste Disposal

Chief Catering will not be responsible for the removal of any rubbish, we will need to be advised of a designated area where all rubbish will be bagged and left neatly for its disposal by you.

If you would like us to take the rubbish with us, you will be charged a rubbish removal fee $60 + gst

Final Details

All final menu choices, dietary requirements, and final guest numbers are to be confirmed not later than 2 weeks prior to your event.

Once the final number of guests have been confirmed, if there is a decreased number of guests before the date of the event, you will still be charged for the original confirmed numbers. 

Allergies

Chief Catering follows all food safety and hygiene standards as set by Food Standards Australia.

Australian Government Department of Health COVID-19 Infection Control Accredited.

In our kitchen and preparation areas we are exposed to certain allergens. We understand the serious implications of reactions to allergens, whilst we take all care not to cross contaminate, Chief Catering will not be responsible or held liable for any adverse reactions from our food from any of your guests. 

Publication

Chief Catering reserves the right to use any photographic images of our food and location shots photographed by us for the purpose of advertising. We will seek approval before your event for any photos that may contain you or your guests.

Cake Collection

Cakes are available for collection from our location, please note that once the cake has left our premises, you have accepted responsibility for the cake and Chief Catering are no longer responsible or liable for any damages.

Cake Flowers

When using fresh flowers in your cake, the flowers are wired and taped for health and safety reasons. If you choose to add your own flowers please be aware not all flowers are food safe due to toxins, pesticides etc..therefore please check with a professional florist before adding in your own flowers. Chief Catering will not be responsible or held liable for misuse of non appropriate flowers inserted in the cake that may cause illness.

Venue

Outside venues can cause havoc with cakes, in temperatures above 23 degrees and also humidity. We will do our best to set up your cake or make arrangements for the cake to be set up in a different location to try and work with the weather to minimize any damage that can be caused due to the conditions. Chief Catering does not accept responsibility and is not liable for any damage that may occur to your cake due to the weather.

Availability

All orders for cakes are subject to availability and need a minimum of 3 months notice for wedding cakes and 2 weeks notice for all other cakes.
